Abstract In Iran there is a high chance to find Porphyry Copper mineralization like Sarcheshmeh associated with New Thetys subduction zone and one of products Orumieh Dokhtarvolcanic arc In Orumieh Dokhtar volcanic arc all of the reported Porphyry deposits areCu Mo rich in character In this research an attemptwas madeto studythe Dalli Porphyryprospect in this zone which is basically Cu Au rich in character The mineralization atDalli is quite rare in Iran and for the first time was reported in Orumieh Dokhtar volcanicarc about 60kIn NE of Arak town Dalli prospect which was first discovered by remotesensingis characterizedby a 4 kIn by 1 5 kIn alteration zone located nearthe contact ofOrumieh Dokhtar arc and Sanandaj Sirjan zone The first phaseof the researchat Dalli was preparationof 1 10000 geology alteration mapand mineralogical petrography studies using thin polished sections and SEM analysis Theses studies showed the present diorite Porphyry host rock strong potassic phyllic propyllitic alteration large scale NE SW structural corridor very strong and unique stockwork and veining of quartz magnetite iron oxide and malachite at Dalli Cu Au prospect These characteristicsare present in two Porphyry centers Southernand central where wedid most of researchat southern Main Porphyrycenter Remote sensing TM ASTER data was processedto locate lithological structured andalteration controls on the mineralization The major processingtechniques applied to TM ASTER satellite imagery were selective principal components analysis crosta bandratios LS Fit and spectral angel mapper methods In this case we mapped iron oxide illite kolinite cholorite and silica alterationusing spectralanalysis on ASTER data Thesealteration are mostly associatedwith Cu Au minerali tion at Dalli The Dalli prospect in particular the southern porphyry center was also studied bycollecting and analyzing 100 systematic soil samples and 20 rock chip samples Thesamples were analyzed AMDEL laboratory in Australia using ICP MS The analyticalresult were subjected to different geochemical processing techniques such as basicstatistics normalization recognition of different element population and consequentlydifferent anomalies preparation of unit element and additive index anomaly maps andfinally cluster and factor analysis Thesestudiesshoweda very correlation 0 8 betweenCu and Au in different mineralized altered zones The averageAu and Cu grades in soilare 0 43 git and 0 12 and in rock 0 47 git and 1 The Copper Gold geochemicalmapsshow a moderate strong anomalies currying an are of about 400m by 500m which iscenteredon the southernPorphyry center A ground magnetic surveywas also usedaroundthe southernporphyry to identify possiblemagnetic rich mineralized ore body buried at depth The magnetic data were collectedsystematically along 11 profile spacing 100 50 or 25 m apart Residual total intensitymagnetic and reduction to pole maps showeda 500 m by 300 m wide surfaceand at depth Finally an integrated analysis of above data were used to identify the possible Cu Aupotential in the southern porphyry center and locate the drill test position for futherexploration In this case within a GIS environment Fuzzy logic method were used tointegrate lithological alteration stricture geochemicaland magnetic layer to provide afind prospectivelymap The find map showedthere priority areasfor further exploration inparticular drilling in In addition the integrationresults confirmed the presenceof Cu AuPorphyry mineralization hosted by diorit at Dalli i A J ifij j f V JJ Jt
