AbstractThe main purpose of this thesis is an analysis of foreign direct investment effect on Iranianeconomic growth In this study a cobb douglas production function with foreign capitaland export in addition to labor and domestic capital is used Applying a time series data 1959 2002 a co integration and error correction methods are used to investigate to longrun and short run relationship between labor productivity and variables The estimatedresults show that the foreign capital statistically affects the economic growth in both shortrun and long run However the domestic capital effect on the economic growth is morethan the foreign capital
