87AbstractThe use of micro alloyed steel especially in the forge of car components by consideringthe reduction in weight cost production time and more safety has been increased In thisresearch the effects of strain in a wide range has been investigated on a micro alloyedforging steel and the results are presented in a manner to be generalized to othercomponents A general steel 30MSV6 which is used in connecting rod and stub axle ofRD Peugeot has been selected for this purpose The specimen should cover a wide rangeof strains and being simple have low cost for forging Having designed and built the diewith provided billet forge process was done at 1200 o C The specimen has been cooled tothe room temperature in a calm air Then the computer simulation of forge process wasperformed by Super Forge software which can determine the strain in specimen In fiveselected points including different strain states hardness produced by forge process wasdetermined Metal microstructure was determined by metallographical experiments Results indicate that beside the cooling rate deformation also leads to a higher strength and the higher strain value lead to a higher strength component
