AbstractA supply chain SC is a coordinated system of organizations people activitiesinformation and resources involved in moving a product or services from supplier tocustomer In the new economy customers require business enterprises to offer better andcheaper products with shorter response time Supply chain management is a strategicapproach to demand operations procurement and logistics process management Withgrowing focus on supply chain management it is realized that inventories across thesupply chain can be efficiently managed through greater cooperation and bettercoordinated So Information sharing is an important issue in supply chain management Multi agent systems MAS offer a new dimension for corporation and coordination in asupply chain network MAS consist of a collection of automated agents who can perform aspecific task intelligently without any human supervision and communicate with eachother cooperatively In this thesis a multi agent system have been developed to simulate amulti echelon supply chain These agents are coordinated to control inventories andminimize the total cost of SC by sharing information and forecasting knowledge Theresult show that the total cost will decrease and bullwhip effect will be reduced
