AbstractIn the developing countries where a considerable gap exists with the developed states asfar as the development indicators are concerned the growth models and national andregional developments should characterize themselves in a way that the path ofdevelopment can in principle pursued within the least possible timing and with lowestpossible costs One of the successful achievements in the regional and national development models is todepend on a development model that has its basis on expanding and extending of thescience and technology corridors Indisputably the technology as one of the main pillarsand components of science and technology corridor plays an imperative role in realizingthe objectives in this complex The purpose of this study is to rank the deployable technologies in Isfahan s science andtechnology corridor by using multi criterion decision makings In this connection anumber of 13 indicators have been utilized that are ranked in six different groups ofeconomic and financial profit making market strategic localization employment preserving the sovereignty and safeguarding the national security technical efficiencyand effectiveness flexibility environmental resources equipments and facilities rawmaterials and energy human resources political domestic and foreign The deployabletechnologies based on OECD method science centered and national and provincialrequirements identified that included Information and communication technology materials technology nanotechnology biotechnology energy technology nucleartechnology environmental technology and laser and optic technology All informationrelated to these indicators were collected through field study using certain questionnaires Taking into consideration the 13 mentioned indicators the AHP TOPSIS and SAWtechniques were employed for ranking technologies and as a result the followingcategorization was proposed for deployable technologies in Isfahan s science andtechnology corridor 1 Information and communication technology 2 Materials technology 3 Biotechnology 4 Energy technology 5 Nanotechnology 6 Environmental technology 7 Laser and optic technology 8 Nuclear technology
