Effects of Ecological Factors on the Vegetation in Fereydan Karchambue Region Isfahan Mahdi Keykhaey Email Mrkay90@yahoo com April 12 2010 Department College of Natural Resources Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree M Sc Language Farsi1 H R Karimzadeh Assist prof Email Karimzadeh@cc iut ac ir2 M R Vahabi Assist Prof Email Vahabi @cc iut ac irAbstractWater soil and Range are considered as the most important elements of natural resourcses in every country Because of different reasons are exposed to be wasted and destroyed The study has been done to determinethe degree of effects of environmental factors on vegetation in a case in southesa Karchambu area which islocated in Isfahan fereidan To do this two Trancket have been studied One of them is about 6 5 Kilometersalong southern northen geographical directions and other is about 12 5 Kilometers along western easterngeographical direction The most important ecological characterstics in sites under study have beendetermined in four parts ecology climate 26 factors use from Kriging method soil 14 factors To dig aprofil in each site and study phisygraphy 8 factors slope geographical direction and altidue study andplant covering percentage of conopy cover and percentage of plant composition Random SystematicSampling In order to study the similarities between places under study and classifying the quantitivestatistic in 48 environmental factors based on Euclidean Distance Relatived in method of Minimum Varianceand statistic of percentage of plant composition of 31 kinds of plants have been classified in cluster Analysis Also in order to review the characterstics of site of growth and to determine the relation between plantcovering and ecological condition in the area which is under study statistics of percentage of conopy cover the percentage of plant composition in 31 kinds of plants related to 48 environmental factors RedundancyAnalysis methods RDA and Principal Components Analysis PCA have been used and analysisd Considering results gained through analysis in a cluster analysis in 90 percentage of similarity level in fourdifferent habitat The first habitat 1 6 sites The second habitat 8 3 9 and the thired habitat 4 10 The fourthhabitat 7 5 2 sites are separated Also in analysis in cluster analysis based on 31 kind of plants with Thesimilarity level of 75 percentage 4 different habitat have been observed The first habitat contains 1 4 sites The second habitat 4 site the third habitat 2 3 8 5 9 and the fourth habitat contion 7 site Results haveshown that the use of Ordination in Redundancy analysis and Principal Components Analysis methods havehigher degree of accuracy in separating the habitat And according to this 5 habitat have been seprated fromeach other The first habitat 3 4 5 7 8 The second habitat The third habitat The fourth habitat 2 Thefifth habitat 9 have been seprated from each other Factor analysis determined that from 48 environmentalfactors 21 factors have an important role in separating groups from each other Also On way analysisvarians ANOVA showed that in cluster analysis based on 31 kind of plants in similarity level of 50percentage 6 kind and in similarity level of 75 percentage 7 kind and based on 48 environmental insimilarity level of 75 percentage westhern geographical directions in similarity level of 80 percentage 2factors sand percentage and soil potassium and in similarity level of 90 percentage 3 factors such as sandpercentage soil potassium and the altitude have an important role in separating groups from each other Kindof plants in the first habitat The most important is Prangos ferulacea usually is located in half medium humid climat and fairly clay and heavy soil and fairly deep and fertile areas and western southerngeographical directions Kinds of plants in second habitat The most important one is Bromus tomentellus usually are located in areas which are in humide climate with light soil and fairly shallow from nutritious
