Synthesis Characterization and X ray structure determination of Complexes Fe with Phenylcyanamide Ligand and Hydrolysis of Phenylcyanamide to phenyl urea derivatives and studying effects of this Complex as a Iron supply of Tomato in Hydroponic Sara Rafiei S rafiei@ch iut ac ir Date of Submission January 22 2013 Department of Chemistry Isfahan University of Technology 84156 83111 Isfahan Iran Degree M Sc Language Farsi Supervisor Dr H Chiniforoushan Email chinif@cc iut ac ir Advisor Dr A H Khoshgoftar Email amirhkhosh@cc iut ac ir Abstract The coordination chemistry of Phenylcyanamides and its substituted derivatives began with a study by Hollebone in 1971 but remained largely unexplored until the late 1980s This is surprising as the coordination chemistry of Phenylcyanamides should be as rich as that of other Pseudo halides such as azide and thiocyanate Indeed the attachment of a phenyl ring to the cyanamide group adds an extra dimension not present in azide or conjugation between the cyanamide group and the phenyl ring provides an energetically favorable means by which a metal ion can couple into a its derivatives can be readily prepared in high yields from the corresponding anilines by desulfurization of the thiourea derivatives In the project first the thiourea synthetic route to 4 nito Phenylcyanamide Iron II complex with the ligand of 4 nito Phenylcyanamide and ligand of 1 10 phenantroline and Iron III complex with these two ligands were synthesized and characterized by FT IR UV Vis 1H NMR spectroscopy techniques Nitrile hydratase catalyzing the hydration reaction of nitrile to amides is an important enzyme which has been used in the industrial production Aliphatic nitriles are generally metabolized in twostages In the recent years metal mediated and metal catalyzed hydrolysis of nitrile ligands have experienced a rapid growth in two main directions namely i the metal mediated hydrolysis giving amides which remain ligated and special methods are required to perform their liberation and ii the homogeneous catalytic hydrolysis when the amides formed are expelled from the coordination sphere of the metal ions with regeneration of active metal species Interesting phenomenon in this project is Hydrolysis of Phenylcyanamide to phenyl urea derivatives and studying effects of this Complex as a Iron supply of Tomato in Hydroponic Keyword Phenylcyanamide Ligand Pseudo halides phenyl urea Iron supply PDF created with pdfFactory trial version www pdffactory com
