Mott transition in tow dimensional strongly correlated electron systems with square lattice by mean field theory Zahra Heydari z heydari@ph iut ac ir 12 1 2014 Department of Physics Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 83111 Iran Degree M Sc Language FarsiSupervisor Dr P Sahebsara P Sahebsara@cc iut ac irAbstractThe certain phenomena that exhibit materials with strongly correlated electron systems such as high temprature super conductivity metal insulator transition and ecs lead toin thesis to study on these systems Specificly considering metal insulator transitionor Mott transition Althogh electrons in these materials are almost from types d andf and band structure of these orbitals lead to interaction electron electron coulomb such as band independent electron models that encounter problems so for studingtheir properties we use Hubbard model constant hopping and interaction terms betweenelectrons Becouse of our methods for studing Mott transition in these materials wasmean field theory that in it lattice structure divice two part impurity site and bath containwith impurity site we well knew to use the Anderson impurity hamiltonian and in thisway by using Anderson impurity hamiltonian matrice and Green function density ofstate to D square lattice calculate first for one impurity site and two site of bath therewas in first nighbourhood of thise site and is interaction with it and then for one impuritysite and four site from bath there was in first nighbourhood from impurity site Andwith charting density of state diagrams for them we able to obtain Mott transition forthis lattice and compare obtained results with results from other methodes that had beenpoint out in therth chapter At last with adding four second nighbourhood of impuritysite explain these calculations and exhibit obtained results as density of state diagramsfor numbers of strenth interaction U Keywords strongly correlated electron system hubbard model hubbard operator andersonimpurity model
