71The current and magnetic flux densities in a system of multi superconducting strips an application of the two dimentional complex fields Reza Sheikhi E mail address R sheikhi@ph iut ac ir Date of Submission January 22 2014 Department of Physics Isfahan University of Technology Isfahan 84156 3111 IranDegree M Sc Language FarsiSupervisor Dr Ali Akbar Babaei Brojeny Abstract In this thesis we study the distributions of magnetic flux and currentdensities in a collection of very long parallel coplanar superconductingstrips with a desired number of strips For the propose of the practicalapplication two specific strip configurations are of our interests In the firstconfiguration the end of strips are so connected that the combined stripsmake of a superconducting closed loop and in the second we will have antransmission line arrangement The external magnetic field is appliedperpendicular to the plan of common plane of the strips and by making use ofthe so called two dimensional complex field we obtain the field distributionsin a the superconducting systems with a several number of the strips and theslots It is shown that in a system of 2n long strips with the equal widths foreven n increasing the number of strips will increase the amount of fluxpassing through the central slot and the system will push the flux lines intothe central hole In configuration of transmission line instead of applying an externalmagnetic field the transport currents are passed through to the strips In this
