Abstract :
Carbonnanotubes(CNTs),graphene(GRA),andtheirderivativesarepromising
materialsforawiderangeofapplicationssuchaspollutantremoval,enzyme
immobilization,bioimaging,biosensors,anddrugdeliveryandarerapidly
increasinginuseandincreasinglymassproduced.Thebiodegradationof
carbonnanomaterialsbymicrobesandenzymesisnowofgreatimportance
for bothreducingtheirtoxicitytolivingorganismsandremovingthemfromthe
environment.Herewereviewrecentprogressinthebiodegradation field from
the pointofviewoftheprimarymicrobesandenzymesthatcandegradethese
nanomaterials,alongwithexperimentalandmolecularsimulationmethodsfor
the explorationofnanomaterialdegradation.Furthereffortsshouldprimarilyaim
towardexpandingtherepertoireofmicrobesandenzymesandexploringopti-
malconditionsforthedegradationofnanomaterials.
